MANAGER ESTIMATOR MINING - 926365
(Jakarta Head Office)
Some of your duties will include:
• Lead and manage the Estimating Team in preparing price estimates based on “current cost” including financial model, sensitivity analysis, benchmarking and tender review pack
• Monitor, review, and analyse factors that might impact mining business line which cover detailed financial analysis relating to mining tenders, projects, and capital purchases, the market environment, competitor analysis and operational performance in order to provide business line manager with accurate, current and concise analysis on any issue that could impact mining strategic business plan;
• Review and analyse project operational and financial variances to tender in order to constantly seeking business improvement initiatives;
• Responsible for managing the estimating work load and sourcing additional resources when required;
• Responsible for ensuring estimates are built up systematically and in sufficient detail;
• Ensure that commercial terms in Vendor / Subcontractor enquiry packages are back to back with the head contract and Vendor / Subcontract proposals are thoroughly evaluated;
• Ensure that all costs used in tenders are current;
• Ensure that productivities used in the tenders are bench marked against company / industry norms.
• Take a lead role in the identification, evaluation and ranking of risks and opportunities as well as developing a strategy to manage and mitigate the risks to Thiess.
• Actively participate in “Brain Storming” meetings to identify competitive advantages and alternative tender options.
• Ensure that a separate estimate is prepared for escalation.
• Coordinate the preparation of tender submissions to ensure they are completed in a timely manner with adequate time for management reviews.
• Review tenders prior to management reviews.
• Responsible for maintaining a data base of productivity norms from past and current projects.
• Ensure all tender are prepared in accordance with company procedures.
• Responsible for continually updating the Company’s estimating procedures and processes.
• Support projects in the start-up and execution phase as required
What skills and experience do you need?
• Graduated from Bachelor Degree in mining engineering with Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Mining projects; Have 5 years’ experience in the same areas at senior manager level with leadership/supervision experience;
• Have Detailed knowledge of best practice of estimating and Tender processes; General knowledge in market resources, mining industry and industries that are related with mining industry; Experiences with mining operations from A to Z
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; good in coaching/mentoring and negotiation; good analytical; conflict resolution; sound decision-making skills; Excellent communication skills in English both verbal & written, proficient in computer literacy including Advanced skills in CATS, Excel, Words & Power Point;
SENIOR SPECIALIST LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT - 926347

Some of your duties will include:
• To coordinate Learning and Development business process and initiatives in particular area/ site projects in bringing capable and motivating workforce within HR applicable guidelines of maintaining consistency;
• To contribute to the success of PT Thiess Contractors Indonesia by effectively monitoring, evaluating and developing and implementing plans to meet staff learning and development needs within TCI
• Organize and monitor Career Path & Development Planning for Staff; initiate specific employee development activities in particular areas; socialization to area/ sites for Human Resources and Learning Development policies, procedure, and initiative in order to align all supervisory level with corporate policies, procedure and initiatives
• Coordinate Technical Staff Development; Delivery of staff development training/ facilitation material, e.g Leadership & Supervisory Development Program /course or Management Leadership and Cross Culture Training or  English/ Bahasa course as required
• Review, develop and deliver the advancement of theoretical & practical soft skills, leadership and ESL training courses of LH up to Superintendent
• Coordinate Undergraduate & Graduate Program Management in selecting, implementing, developing, and motivating high quality Undergraduate/ Graduate
• Organize Staff Education Assistance including External Study as a part of Employee Development Program; Searching course provider, enrolment of participants, arranging and monitoring the implementation of the distance study;
• Coordinate Site Work Experience in various sites/ departments within TCI
• Coordination of the sending of TCI employees for secondment program by liaison with several stakeholder such as Australian BU, TCI Formalities, and Training Centre

What skills and experience do you need?
• Graduate from Tertiary qualifications in HR or Management
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a training / or HR Generalist role with 3 years' leadership/supervision experience in similar role. Experience on a mining or construction site will be an advantage
• Strong communication skills (written & verbal), including good skills in English Facilitation skills

ROTATING SITE SENIOR DOCTOR - 925412
(Fixed Term Basis - Balikpapan)
Some of your duties will include:
• Provide administer and execute the implementation of TCI employee health & medical program on site;
• Liaise with external medical providers to ensure employees and their family are treated appropriately;
• Act as Corporate Health Services representative on site;
• Implement TCI Safety Management System, processes and programs to ensure the conservation of people, property, environment and profits
 What skills and experience do you need?
• You should have background Medical Doctor with minimum 5 years' experience in medical field preferably in similar role as a mining company doctor; Valid STR; Having Hiperkes certificate, valid ATLS & ACLS certificates; Become advantage if have MKK or MKKK qualification and Industrial hygienist certified;
• Strong knowledge & skill in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene and Food Safety; Excellent in Medical Emergency Management (remote site); Up to date medical knowledge; Good understanding on Indonesia Medical System; Familiar in Information monitoring and database; Having good knowledge in health insurance;
• Willing to be placed in Balikpapan and frequently travelling to site;

SENIOR SUPERVISOR COST CONTROL – 926344

Some of your duties will include:
• Manage the Commercial, Infomine and Claim functions and reporting for the project management;
• Prepare monthly reports for review by Commercial and Project Managers;
• Manage the collection and collation of production data;
• Understand and maintain controls systems to allow accurate and timely financial reporting for the project;
• Maintain an awareness of the financial status of the project to ensure that costs are maintained and budgeted profits achieved;

SUPERVISOR AUTO ELECTRIC BIG DIGGER – 926303

Some of your duties will include:
• To apply the Thiess Management System and plant procedures within the work force in relation to Safety/Environment, Maintenance Planning, Recording/Register, Quality of Workmanship, Leadership within the and organizing of Workshop personnel;
• To ensure that maintenance department goals are achieved.
• Communication and reporting. Ensure maximum communication levels are maintained between field crew and operations personnel on issues relating to breakdown of equipment.
• Monitor radio communication apparatus working in order and do repair when needed.
• Accurate completion of OCDC reporting, ensure clear description of repair, accurate time input, and all delays clearly reported.
• Actively share ideas making maintenance practice better to achieve department goals.
• Ensuring accurate breakdown hour information is provided.
• Analysis of component condition and recommendation of parts required.
• Review of all checklists and electrical inspection sheets, submission to planning department (everyday), address all known work (create work order), breakdown and planned jobs.
• Planning and co-ordination of shut down work with the planning department (weekly planning meeting), keep update on 36-hour planning.
• Investigation and reporting of all accident damage to all equipment in the field and associated area, this includes operator abuse.
• DOOD and service package completion quality are maintained.
 What skills and experience do you need?
• Minimum Senior High School/Technical High School, Ex Apprentice Program; requires a minimum 5 years' professional experience in similar role in supervision level;
• Excellent knowledge on the Big Digger electrical system (Hitachi and Liebherr preferred); General electrical installation and maintenance; Fault finding and maintenance of automotive air conditioning systems; Fault finding, maintenance of all mobile equipment auto electrical systems;
• Good leadership skill, good communication in English as well Bahasa able to communicate to all level (internal/external), diligent, good in planning and organizing job.
EOI SUPERINTENDENT MINING – 926366

• Coordinating all supervisors in the workplace of the removal of overburden/inter-burden in a safe, effective manner on time and within budget in a designated area;

• Applicants should have a minimum graduated from Senior High School or Degree in Mining/Civil Engineering is preferred; requires a minimum 5 years' professional experience in similar role as Superintendent Mining with relevant qualifications in large open cut mining operation;
• Mining heavy industry experience is essential; could operate mining equipment; Good leadership and people management skills preferably with training in staff supervision; have ability in resource planning and OHS&E supervision; excellent interpersonal and communication skills for both oral and written in English; be able to operate computer; conflict resolution; sound decision making skills; Posses POM (Pengawas Operasional Madya) certification at Mine and Energy Department.
EOI ENGINEER MINE PLANNING/ LONG TERM – 926367

Some of your duties will include:
• Assist to the Senior Engineer Long Term or Technical Management Representative to develop, implement and evaluate Technical Service Management, plans and programs to Thiess standard, client requirement and ISO standar;
• Assist to Senior Long Term Engineer to set up the project production target, controlling and monitoring the progress in related to client’s requirement;
• Provide the technical mine design, scheduling, monitoring function and data analysis for the mining operation by ensuring maximum productivities, coal recovery in the most cost effective safe manner, providing competent and professional long term mine planning;
• Involve as part of team member to implement the OHS and Quality as per government and Thiess standard.
What skills and experience do you need?
• Minimum of Bachelor degree of Mining Engineering with minimum of 5 years’ experience in open pit coal mining operation, previous experience at a mine site preferred and minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role as Engineer Mine Planning/ Long Term;
• Proficient in mining principles, mine design concepts & operations in both coal, mine operation regulatory requirements; proven skills in Mine Scheduling tools utilising software such as Minescape, Xpac, Talpac will be an advantage; possess government certification of POP (Pratama Competency Test);
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, good analytical, responsible and adaptable; Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written; and computer literate.
EOI ENGINEER MINING/ SHORT TERM – 926368

Some of your duties will include :
• Evaluate and analyse project performance data related to productivity, cost & safety utilising company’s standard systems in order to ensure data reliability;
• Contribute to the development of the short term detailed mine execution plans to integrate with the mining operations;
• Contribute to monitor and coordinate engineering activities to ensure efficient production of engineering plans to meet contract program requirements;
• Analyse and identify engineering problems in order to propose solutions and expedite actions regarding the client agreement where necessary;
• Review client plans and requests to ensure the requirements defined are incorporated in the works and the responsibilities allocated under the project quality system and understood and implemented;
• Prepare data for the progress claim report to be reviewed by the Engineering Superintendent;
• Collect data related to subcontractor performance in order to prepare summary reports required for the project;

• Coaching and mentoring of graduate mining engineers, and technical assistants in order to provide technical support;
